Introduction

On November 12, 2021, the Grammy award-winning singer released Red (Taylor’s Version), a re-recording of the 2012 hit album with more lyrics and songs. This includes the long-lost 10 minute original version of “All Too Well” which fans, including myself, have been anticipating since Taylor Swift announced the release of Red (Taylor’s Version). In this blog post, I will outline how the data visualization “Red (Taylor’s Version)” came about.

Inspiration

On November 12, 2021, the Grammy award-winning singer released Red (Taylor’s Version), a re-recording of the 2012 hit album with more lyrics and songs. I was only 15 years old when Red (Deluxe Edition) was released but there were so many songs that I loved. Back then, I enjoyed the lyrics of All Too Well, especially the bridge.

“And you call me up again just to break me like a promise”

“So casually cruel in the name of being honest”

“I’m a crumpled up piece of paper lying here”
